Friday June 26, 2015, the U. S. Supreme Court ruled in favor of gay marriage one day after they upheld socialist health care. This was a huge victory for the gay community and those who support them. Sadly, it was also a huge victory for political correctness. This does not change my opinion that marriage is a union between one man and one woman. Not two men or two women. I guess next it will become legal to marry your cat, dog, horse, cow, pig or whatever animal you have as a pet.
You may have heard or read about the Confederate Flag controversy which seems to be brought up every time there is a shooting in any southern state. Many black people and some white people who are half or at least part black are strongly offended by the Confederate Flag which they believe represents their former enslavement. They see it as a symbol of hate. Sadly, many governors of southern states such as Governor Nikki Haley of South Carolina has decided to remove the Confederate Flag from the state house and the governors mansion. Other governors in other states in the south have done the same. There is even a call to edit the Confederate Flag out of Gone With the Wind. The Confederate Flag represents southern heritage and southern pride. I guess the American Flag will be next because people think it represents wars, imperialism, racism, sexism and every other thing and ism they believe is wrong with America. Maybe we can replace the Confederate Flag with the Mexican Flag and the American Flag with the gay pride flag if it makes people happier. It’s sad when nine unelected judges and a handful of southern governors choose to cave into political correctness.
If my opinions are threatening or offensive to you, feel free to unfriend me and un follow my blog. I don’t hate. How can anyone hate someone they don’t know? I don’t usually get political because I know most people probably disagree with me and find my opinions threatening or offensive. I just wanted to get this off my chest. I’m tired of keeping my opinions to myself because I may offend or seem threatening to someone.
